Luster Workshop - June 24th

We will likely only need 2 hrs for this workshop, the third hour is just to make sure no one feels rushed.
Participants are required to bring work that has ALREADY BEEN GLAZE FIRED to apply the luster to.
What are Lusters? They are a decorative finish that give ceramic surfaces a metallic appearance, shimmer, and depth.
They are painted on to items that have already been glaze fired and then fired a third time to a much lower tempurature to achieve the metallic finish.
There will be 22 k gold luster and mother of pearl availabe for participants to use.
Each participant can bring and luster 3-4 items each.
I will ask that the lusters are used as accented details and not to cover large areas.
Please note that the lusters do have strong fumes. wheather permiting we will try to work outside, otherwise will work with the doors and windows open.
Luter is foodsafe but not microwave or dishwasher safe.
Items will then be fired and available for pick up when finished.
